Introduction

My name is Kayla Wieland and I'm a 6th Grader at Chisholm Trail Middle School.

I went to the Austin Children's Museum on February 21. That day happened to be engineering day. I designed, constructed, and tested my very own Wind Car!

That's Kimberly from the University of Texas. She's an engineering student in SEEK (Students Engineers Educating Kids) and helped me with each step.

The Process

It was important that I follow a process. In engineering, it's important to follow these steps:

1. Design your concept

2. Construct the prototype

3. Test the prototype

4. Make adjustments and retest
